Brochure -

The Graphic type that is used would be Bitmap this is because the brochure would contain images and therefor Bitmap graphic type is necessary as the vector file type is not compatible with images. However you are as equally likely to use a Vector this is because if you used a logo and/or text a vector would be necessary so it was easy visible at all levels. Because you use a variation of graphic types you must save it as a PDF so it you will not loose any of the vectors or bitmaps properties.. There is an image bellow that shows the saving as a JPEG option to get to this stage you go onto file > save as > save as type > PDF.

Website -

The Graphic type that is used would be Bitmap this is because the website would contain images and therefor due to the vector not being able to work with images you are limited to using the Bitmap graphic type.As well as this you will be using a medium sized image and therefor due to it is not needed to be increased in regards of size the quality will be fine and you can use a bitmap file type. However if you has text a Vector would be needed. This is slightly different to the prior way and it will not be saved as a JPEG but as a PNG as seen in the picture above it is just bellow JPEG in the save as type list. A Portable Network Graphics Format or PNG file reduces the size of the file without changing the picture resolution, size or general quality. This is a very convenient thing as if you where to upload it to a website it would be significantly quicker than any alternative. The alternate is the GIF file type which is top of the list at the top this is an adequate choice to use but you can experience problems with the picture quality after uploading due to it being slightly outdated in comparison to the PNG file type.

Vehicle -

The Graphic type that is used would be Vector this is because the Vehicle would only have a logo and/or text and therefor you would need it to be resolute at any level and as well as this there is no images being used so it is not necessary to use Bitmap. This is slightly more complicated than the prior two with the use of illustrator being essential with this one. You will need to change the file type to a vector image and this is easiest achieved with illustrator. Illustrator is available over Mac and Windows so therefore it does not matter what computer type you have as it goes across platform as the saving procedure from early is the windows version and the Mac alternative is slightly more complicated. Illustrator is a well established program in which lots of companies use to produce advertisements and is particularly effective in regards to tracing and text manipulation. Vector file types allows you to separate different drawings whilst still having the freedom to be on the one image.

Unit 2 D2

Improvements that could be made -

- One way of possibly improving the scores that i got is if i were to install a better processor a good choice would be the Intel Core i7-3960X 3.30GHz processor due to its high capability and is one of the best on the market and allow the computer to run  more tabs with it being smoother as well as this it would significantly improve the score.

-Also I could install a better Graphics Card preferably the ASUS 4 GB AMD Radeon R9 290X PCIe Graphics Card  to make the graphics run better on the computer (More Frames per Second). Due to the prior graphics card only registering 70 frames per second or the other being 0.

- As well as this I could also make radical improvements to the RAM so that the computer in question would operate faster, I would just need to buy one which could hold more MB than the one already with the computer to improve the speed and operating times.

-Lastly I could improve the drivers on the computer to make anything that i wanted to use or access load faster and without problems. Both scores previously achieved where not fantastic either so if you where to purchase some it would make a great different to the computer speed.

Unit 2 M3

This is a MacBook Pro with 4 GB memory, Intel core 2 dual processor and NVIDIA GeForce Processor. This MacBook achieved a score of 108 in regards to the RAM capability, with the RAM speed reaching a 2687 MB/s. Both are very respectable scores and both would give the user the adequate ability to use without problems but there may be problems when running multiple programs. The next test was on the CPU in which it achieved a score of 187. This is considerable better than the second computer we tested on. The next tested feature was on the graphics card the test achieved a 29 score with the 3d frames per second being 70 frames per second. Lastly the hardware was tested achieving a score of 16. The last two tested features are slightly below average but still significantly higher than the other tested program.

This is a Windows XP computer. This computer achieved a score of 57 in regards to the RAM capability, with the RAM speed reaching an 886 MB/s. Both are quite poor scores and both would give the user problems when running multiple programs this is the opposite of the prior tested computer. The next test was on the CPU in which it achieved a score of 187. This is considerably worse than the first computer we tested on. The next tested feature was on the graphics card the test achieved a 0 score and the 3d frames per second being 0 frames per second as well. This is the worst score that can possibly be achieved. Lastly we tested the hardware achieving a score of 5. The last tested feature is very below average and is significantly lower than the MacBook’s tested program.

The MacBook achieved considerably better results in comparison to the Windows PC with all four tested features all being far greater than the distinctively poor Windows computer. The Windows achieved 51 more score in regards to the RAM almost doubling the score of the Windows computer, the next measured test was on the CPU capability and the MacBook achieved a higher score of 78. The next tested feature was the Graphics card with the Windows getting the lowest score with 0 and the MacBook achieving a score of 29 and as well as this the 3d capability of the Windows was also 0 with the MacBook being70 frames per second. Lastly the hardware on the windows achieved a score of 5 in comparison to the score of 16 from the MacBook.

Samsung U28D590DS - 28" TN LED-backlit LCD monitor –
A monitor is vital piece hardware; it provides an electronic visual display for computers. When creating graphic images the images you are creating can be seen on the monitor screen. If you did not have a monitor, the designs you create on a graphics tablet will not be displayed on a screen to visualize.

Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 Wireless –
You will need a keyboard in order to type up words that you would like to create a graphics image with, and these words can be seen on the monitor screen. If your graphics designs include words, you will need a keyboard.

Logitech Proteus Core G502 –
A mouse is a very important piece of hardware. It allows you to move around the monitor screen and provides you with the ability to open software programs with just a click of the mouse.

Lenovo A740 27” ALL-IN-ONE PC -

Processor –
Intel Core i7-4558U Processor (2.80GHz 1600MHz 4MB)

Operating system -
Windows 8.1 Update 64

Display type -
27" All In One with Multi-touch function 2560 x 1440

System Graphics -
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850A 2GB

Total memory –
 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L 1600 MHz

In my opinion the Lenovo A740 27” ALL-IN-ONE PC is the best computer for what is needed. This computer has more than a regular PC and has more settings and features than a regular computer. The hardware features a 27” screen, inbuilt PC tower and a top quality graphics card for all processes. As well as this it comes with a Lenovo keyboard and mouse that are connected via the 4 accessible USB ports. Not only is the hardware on the computer top quality for the price but the software is also some of the best of the market for a marketing computer and would be more than adequate to do any work.  The Lenovo has many better features in my opinion they include: a better operating system due to the prior having only a windows 8 system which is not as a good as the Windows 8.1 update 64 which the Lenovo has. Albeit the Samsung LED monitor is one inch larger and has a backlit feature the Lenovo is a touch screen computer which is more appealing. The mouse and keyboard are almost irrelevant due to the easy opportunity to replace them and it would come down to personal preference in regards to its size, but in my person opinion I would personally prefer the Lenovo products due to prior usage and confidence with the company.
